Hi everyone,

I'm currently working on a CakePHP app that has a two columns layout. Within the first column, I'm using content_for_layout() to print the main content. Within the second column, I'd like to print some contextual links, depending on the current controller or action.

In short, I'd like to know if there is an equivalent to Ruby on Rails' content_for in CakePHP (a way to define HTML blocks within the view to use them later within the layout).

I've found some posts about this issue, but they all seem over-complicated and I suspect there is a way to do this by default (without relying on helpers).

Thank you very much in advance! smile.gif Best regards,
